The weather on race weekend can be challenging. To prepare, we recommend the following gear. This list pertains to all distances:

  • Reusable to cup to fill at aid stations (we are cupless!)

  • Hat/beanies/buff for sun protection and warmth

  • Gloves

  • Light/rain jacket

  • Running pants or tights

  • Long-sleeve or t-shirt

  • Sunglasses

  • Extra Socks

  • Sunblock

  • Emergency/”space” blanket

Drop Bags

Drop bags are limited to 50K runners at Sweetwater Aid Station only.

Size

Please, limit your drop bags to 25 L.

Packaging

While we will do our best to handle your drop bags carefully, please package them securely. Your drop bags will be exposed to sun, water, hot air, cold air and some jostling in the bed of a pickup.

Labeling

Drop bags should be clearly labeled with (1) your name and (2) bib number.

Returning

Aid station volunteers will return drop bags to the start/finish at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, or once the aid station closes.

If drop bags are left at the finish, we will mail your items for a flat rate of $40. Unclaimed bags will be donated to local runners and through hikers.
